Dr. Suri's teaching interests include water and wastewater treatment (physical, chemical, and biological processes), aquatic chemistry, environmental process engineering, and fate and transport of contaminants in the environment. His research interests include sustainable development, adsorption, regeneration of adsorbents, advanced oxidation processes (sonolysis, photocatalysis), and process combination. Professor Suri was the recipient of the best M.S. and second best Ph.D. paper awards from the Water Environment Federation in 1993 and 1994, respectively.
